About

A grounds firm built around the association calendar

Cardona Community Grounds works for homeowner associations and the managers who run them. About twenty-five people are on the crew and the office, led by Reinaldo Cardona.

Reinaldo runs the firm as a Latino-owned family business. Associations hire us when they want the work written down: a scope, a calendar and a report that a board can read and a resident can follow.

What we hold to

  • One written scope for every property

  • One contact for the manager

  • Reports and notices in English and Spanish

  • Extras only after written approval

The people

Who answers when a manager calls

Three people run the accounts. Each one is named on the report that reaches your board.

  • Reinaldo Cardona, owner, trimming a shrub with a long-handled pole pruner beside a ladder

    Reinaldo Cardona

    Owner

Reinaldo walks every new property himself and presents the packet to your board, in English or Spanish.

  • Ileana Zayas, operations director, checking a plant on a tablet

    Ileana Zayas

    Operations director

Ileana writes the monthly report and is the manager's one contact. She walks the property with the crew lead before it goes out.

  • Bernadette Oakley, horticulture lead, holding two potted plants in a garden center

    Bernadette Oakley

    Horticulture lead

Bernadette sets plant lists and pruning rotations, runs the twice-yearly color change, and signs off on tree work before a bucket truck is booked.

How we work

Four habits that show up in the report

  • Written scope

Every line of work has a place in the table.

  • One contact

Managers call Ileana, not a dispatch line.

  • Both languages

Notices and reports in English and Spanish.

  • Photos with dates

Open items come with a photo and a place.
